DESCRIPTION:National Geographic Live:\nFrom Roots to Canopy\nTuesday\, Sept. 30\, 7:30 p.m.\nNational Geographic Explorer at Large Nalini Nadkarni\ninterweaves her research on rainforest canopy biota with\ninnovative public engagement. A biology professor at the\nUniversity of Utah\, she has written 150 scientific papers and\nbooks\, and has presented new insights on the importance of\ncanopy plants in ecosystem processes — and the effects of\nhuman activities on forest diversity and function. There will be a small local Expo in the Weis Center Atrium from 6:20PM – 7:30 PM. Susquehanna Greenway Partnership\, Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper\, Seven Mountains Audubon\, Linn Conservancy\, and DCNR/R.B. Winter State Park. are participating.
