She will teach about the families of birds that frequent wetlands\, ponds\, streams\, etc.\, and some of the birds’ unique characteristics. A biology professor at the\nUniversity of Utah\, she has written 150 scientific papers and\nbooks\, and has presented new insights on the importance of\ncanopy plants in ecosystem processes — and the effects of\nhuman activities on forest diversity and function. There will be a small local Expo in the Weis Center Atrium from 6:20PM – 7:30 PM. Susquehanna Greenway Partnership\, Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper\, Seven Mountains Audubon\, Linn Conservancy\, and DCNR/R.B. Winter State Park. are participating.
